Hello there!
This week its another rummage in the ragbag of NaPoWriMo 2020 poems. Enjoy!
When Peas Broke Out
Sausage and mash.
That's what started it.
The menu was a flowchart
designed for maximum efficiency.
And to help procrastinators.

Hello there!
This week's poem is a throwback to NaPoWriMo 2020 and based on a prompt from The Poetry Society (UK).
The Riddle of the Cutlery Drawer
I am an eternal enigma,
well at least simnce humanity first sculpted me.
According to evolution,
my species branched out into two distinct life forms
and spread.
Day 9 poem written on Day 10 - so almost catching up!
The prompt was to do a to do list - for an unusual person or character. I could’ve used my own list, but the Internet can only support so much cheese content before it collapses into itself. Well, that’s according to string cheese theory.
Anyway, back to the poetry!
ProcrastinClaus
Written out like decks of cards
all shuffled, stacked against the wall.
billions of them needing sorting
into naughty and nice.
NaPoWriMo Day 8 poems, written on, err, Day 10. The prompt was to write a monologue from a dead person.
(Disclaimer Note: I appreciate that to some people the timing of this may seem insensitive in light of the recent passing of HRH Prince Philip. That is not my intention. Neither poem is about him or any member of the Royal Family).
Returning to the prompt, the first attempt turned out a little different to what was being asked...
Lamp, D.
I feel and give thanks
for your gratitude
about how I
illuminated your lives
just for a little while.
Hello there!
I seem to be running a bit behind on NaPoWriMo. Also not able to get into all the activities due to time constraints.
So on Day 5, here is my Day 4 poem on the prompt of liminal spaces. It is about a space I am familiar with - the early morning Anglian landscape. The space between night and day, where the space between land and sky is often blurred.
Space <Between> Space
My senses try to open
in the askew dawn light
< Insert Horizon >
and formless ground below
on a frosty morning walk.
NaPoWriMo 2021 Day 2 - Considering what would have happened, if I chose the road less taken. Or another path.
Thorny Branches
Fork one. Bean manager
For those with vastly more
than I could ever envy.
Hello there!
No new long post this week due to taking some time out to enjoy the Easter Holidays.
That and trying to train swans on the River Ouse to liven up the Boat Race.
Hello there! I've been feeling a bit frazzled with all the recent hot weather here. The stuffy heat is not good for a small badger of ve...
